Lossburg. When it comes to YouTube, Arburg is also a successful pioneer. The company has been releasing up-to-date short films on this multimedia Internet platform since 2010, covering e.g. trade fairs, sector-specific solutions, automation and applications technology. And the success has been considerable. Both in terms of the number of films released online and the number of subscribers and views, Arburg is clearly ahead in the field of injection moulding machine manufacturing. Now, from a total of 63 videos, one has exceeded a remarkable threshold: on 28 May 2013, the film “Injection moulding of 72 screw caps in less than 3 seconds” became Arburg’s most watched video, with 100,885 views.
Some further impressive figures demonstrate that YouTube has now become a platform that Arburg can consistently use in addition to its website to communicate with customers and interested parties all over the world. The English and German-language Arburg channel, “ARBURGofficial”, for example, boasts a total of 362,796 video views and 680 subscribers (as at 28 May 2013). Typical Arburg: well structured, clear and concise
Our clearly structured and easy to view films are extremely instructive because complex content can be represented much more clearly in moving images than in text. Moreover, viewers of videos are not overwhelmed with information. A good example of this is Arburg’s top movie from the packaging sector. In just over two minutes, it demonstrates how 72 screw caps can be produced rapidly and reliably on an Allrounder injection moulding machine featuring downstream peripherals. Existing or potential customers who watch this film quickly and easily understand how production takes place and whether the solution shown could also answer to their requirements. The YouTube platform is therefore an ideal opportunity for the business partners to begin more in-depth discussions.
