INSURANCE: HIRER TO SHOW CURRENT INSURANCE POLICY AND IDENTIFICATION AT TIME OF PICK UP. AQUA DREAMING TERMS & CONDITIONS OF CAMERA HIRE
• To avoid disappointment, please place your order as early as possible, as we have limited equipment.
• If your order is cancelled without adequate notice or reason (ie. 7 days prior to the booking), charges may still apply.
• In the event of lost or damaged equipment, you must provide us with a valid credit card, proof of identity, and contact details at the time of hiring our underwater camera equipment – even if you choose to pay via cash or cheque. Even though Aqua Dreaming typically doesn’t charge a security deposit for short-term hire, we reserve the right to charge the full amount for any equipment that isn’t returned to us at the end of the hire period in the same condition that it was received.
• If a hire item is lost, damaged, or stolen, please contact Aqua Dreaming immediately. In the case of theft, you may also need to notify the police and fill out a report. While the hired equipment is in your possession during the hire period, you are responsible for the safekeeping of those items. We would expect you to look after them as if they were your own, and not to use them for any purpose except that for which they are intended, and to keep them secure from theft at all times.
• Damage to the cameras: repair or replacement costs up to a maximum of AUD$400 (Canon Powershot G10); AUD$700 (Canon Powershot G1X); AUD$1300 (Sea&Sea DX-2G); AUD$2500 (Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR); or AUD$1200 (Canon EOS 5D MKii).
• Damage to the underwater housings: repair or replacement costs up to a maximum of AUD$350 (Canon WP-DC28 for the Canon Powershot G10 and G1X); or AUD$1500 (Nimar Underwater Housing for the Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR).
• Loss of any equipment or accessories: full replacement cost.

1. All hire equipment remains the property of Aqua Dreaming. The hirer assumes full responsibility to pay the hire charges as invoiced, and to return all hired equipment on the day it is due, and in the condition in which it was received. Failure to return the hired items on the due date may result in overdue charges equivalent to the daily hire rate.
2. Aqua Dreaming reserves the right to charge an appropriate deposit on the hire of any equipment. Your deposit is 100% refundable when your hire items are returned on the due date and in the same condition in which you received them. Reservations may be cancelled one week in advance for a full refund. Cancellations with fewer than 7 days warning will result in a refund of 80% of the total order. The remaining 20% will be credited to any future order with Aqua Dreaming. Any rentals cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full, and will result in the loss of the total amount paid.
3. Loss of (or damage to) any hire items may result in the loss of part or all your deposit, or further charges to cover repair or replacement costs. The safe return of all items is the sole responsibility of the hire. Aqua Dreaming does not effect any insurance whatsoever over hire items while they are in the possession of the hirer. We check and test every single piece of hire equipment before we deliver it to you. If you notice any items missing from your order, or any problems with any of your hire items, please notify us immediately.
4. It is the responsibility of the hirer to return all hired equipment clean and unsoiled. Failure to return the equipment clean may result in a cleaning fee being deducted from your deposit. Although we thoroughly clean all items before every hire, we expect to receive those items back in a satisfactory condition.
5. Aqua Dreaming does not give any warranty, actual or implied, of the condition of any equipment, or its suitability for any purpose. Where appropriate, we provide a copy of the manufacturer’s instructions. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all hired equipment is used safely and for the purpose it was intended.
6. Aqua Dreaming does not accept any responsibility for injury or damage resulting from the use of our equipment, regardless of how that injury or damage may have been caused.
