  46. papacy/papal: of or relating to the pope or the government of the Roman Catholic Church
  47. pilgrim/pilgrimage: someone who travels to a holy place/a journey to a holy place
  48. point of view: a position or perspective from which something is considered or evaluated; standpoint
  49. polygamy: the state or practice of being married to more than one person at the same time
  50. posthumous: happening, done, or published after someone's death
  51. pragmatic/pragmatism: dealing with the problems that exist in a specific situation in a reasonable and logical way instead of depending on ideas and theories; practical
  52. primary: a preliminary election to appoint delegates to a party conference or to select the candidates for a principal, especially presidential, election.
  53. propaganda: ideas or statements that are often false or exaggerated and that are spread in order to help a cause, a political leader, a government, etc.
  54. protectorate: a small country that is controlled and protected by a larger one
  55. quagmire: a situation that is hard to deal with or get out of : a situation that is full of problems
  56. quasi: seemingly; apparently but not really; being partly or almost
  57. racism: poor treatment of or violence against people because of their race;the belief that some races of people are better than others
  58. ratification: to make (a treaty, agreement, etc.) official by signing it or voting for it
  59. raw material: the basic material that can be used to make or create something
  60. rebellion: an effort by many people to change the government or leader of a country by the use of protest or violence
  61. recession: a period of reduced economic activity
  62. reciprocity: a situation or relationship in which two people or groups agree to do something similar for each other, to allow each other to have the same rights, etc. : a reciprocal arrangement or relationship
  63. reparations: money that a country or group that loses a war pays because of the damage, injury, deaths, etc., it has caused
  64. resurgent: becoming popular, active, or successful again after a period of being less popular, active, or successful

  66. rural: of or relating to the country and the people who live there instead of the city
  67. Russo: of or relating to Russia
  68. score (unit of time): a group of 20 things —often used in combination with a cardinal number<fourscore>
  69. secede: to separate from a nation or state and become independent
  70. sect: a religious or political group that is connected to a larger group but that has beliefs that differ greatly from those of the main group
  71. segregation: the practice or policy of keeping people of different races, religions, etc., separate from each other
  72. Sino: of or relating to China
  73. Social Darwinism: a sociological theory that sociocultural advance is the product of intergroup conflict and competition and the socially elite classes (as those possessing wealth and power) possess biological superiority in the struggle for existence
  74. socio-economic: of, relating to, or involving a combination of social and economic factors
  75. sovereignty: a country's independent authority and the right to govern itself

  77. sphere of influence: a territorial area within which the political influence or the interests of one nation are held to be more or less paramount
