Item 10 : Ad Hoc Committee on the Implementation of the CCSS
A.  Election of Vice Chair (Action)
Nominations for Vice Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Implementation of the CCSS will be accepted and an election conducted.
B.  Establish Goal for 2014/2015 (Information/Action)
Review of Goal for 2013
1.  Remain informed on issues that affect curriculum, assessment, professional development, and instructional materials related to the CCSS.
2.  Become informed and provide feedback on issues on curriculum, assessment, including SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC), instruction, and accountability.
3.  Become informed and provide feedback on professional development, including the CCSS stand on Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science and Technology, and Response to Instruction and Intervention (Rti2).
4. Become informed and provide feedback on instructional materials, including supplemental materials for CCSS to prepare students for college and career readiness.
Recommend that the committee continue the 2013 goals into 2014.
Proposed Goal for 2014/2015:
1.  Remain informed on issues that affect curriculum, assessment, professional development, and instructional materials related to the CCSS.
2.  Become informed and provide feedback on issues on curriculum, assessment, including SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC), instruction, and accountability.
