Happy Easter!

Thank You to the Social Committee

On behalf of the community we would like to say a great big “Thank You” to Patsy Johnson, Toni Gutherz and Dorothy Sorrell for organizing the very successful Community Garage Sale and fundraiser for the Easter party. The total profit used to fund the Easter party was $361.25! Great job ladies! We would also like to thank Shirley Lacy for providing great portraits and Todd Barger for volunteering to be the Easter Bunny at the Easter Party! And thanks to all the very helpful volunteers who made it all possible!

Secret Witness Program

Amador Secret Witness is a three pronged effort of community, law enforcement, and media working together in the fight against crime. Amador Secret Witness relies on the anonymous tips of community members. When a citizen or visitor to the community becomes aware of criminal activity, the individual can make an anonymous phone call to a 24 hour, 7 day a week Hotline and provide the anonymous information. The caller does not have to reveal his or her identity; just give information on the crime. The caller will then be given a code number.

The information is then sent to the law enforcement agency responsible for acting on the tip. If the information leads to the arrest and arraignment of a criminal, a place will be set for the caller to pick up the cash reward money. Rewards vary depending on the value of the information. The Amador County Secret Witness Hotline is (209) 223-4900.

Billing Service Mistake

Park Billing accidentally mailed some of the bills this month for the April billing. If you received two bills, please disregard one of them.

Dog Owner Etiquette

Always leash your dog. It doesn’t matter how friendly Fido is: leash laws exist for a reason. Not everyone is comfortable around dogs, and dog owners must anticipate this and be respectful. Only let your dog approach a stranger if that person asks. The same rule applies to strangers walking their own dogs.

Scoop your poop!No excuses: few things sour dog-to-human relations more than poop left where others can step in it. Bring an excess of bags on each walk to be sure you have enough. If you run out of bags, either come back and clean it up or ask another walker if they have a bag to spare. Be respectful; don’t allow dogs to go to the bathroom on someone else’s property, even if you clean it up afterwards, it can leave behind unwanted residue.

Be courteous of your neighbors and don’t allow your dogs to bark continuously. If your dogs do bark, only allow them outside when supervised and bring them inside when you leave to ensure they are not creating a nuisance.

Thank You George Dulas

On behalf of The Oaks Community, I would like to say a giant “Thank You” to George Dulas, for all his hard work and time he put into repairing and repainting the flagpole at the main gate!
