APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR CHANGES IN DESIGN, TOOLING, PROCESSING, OR MANUFACTURER-LLNL DESIGN PRODUCT (Clause E-17.1) (April 1999)

After receipt of Engineering Evaluation Approval, the Seller shall obtain approval from Buyer in advance of any changes in design, tooling, processing, location of manufacturer; or, resumption of production of a part, subassembly, or assembly after interruption for a period exceeding six calendar months. Exceptions to this time period will be noted in the product specification. Production shall not be delayed pending approval or in anticipation of such changes except upon written notification from Buyer. The term "tooling," as used in this paragraph, refers to Seller's standard tooling as well as special tooling furnished or authorized by Buyer. Approval of such samples shall not waive Seller's obligation to make deliveries in conformity with applicable drawings and specifications.
