POST: Apprenticeship Delivery Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Managing Director

SALARY:circa.£40,000- £45,000 depending on qualifications and expertise

LOCATION: Watford

JOB PURPOSE:

•To manage the effective delivery of apprenticeship provision.

•To monitor and manage timely success rates across all provision including ILR and Data Management.

•To monitor and manage Awarding Body Centre status (various).

•To monitor and manage quality and compliance across all provision.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

•Responsible for leading, managing, motivating and developing a team of staff through excellent people management practices to achieve objectives.

•Work with the collegesand build relationships with the college partners to ensure that all apprenticeshipsare managed and tracked effectively.

•Rigorous monitoring and reviewing outcomes to ensure timely, successful completion across apprenticeship provision.

•Work in partnership with the delivery staff to ensure effective, timely development and delivery of the apprenticeship programmes.

•Overall Management responsibility for delivery and Administration functions providing on-going support and guidance through observation, appraisal, supervision, staff development and performance management.

•Ensure that staff within the business are kept up-to-date with internal and external issues, and lead regular team briefings and feedback sessions.

•Review and evaluate all provision in accordance with quality systems, and contribute to quality reviews and self-assessment processes in line with Ofsted criteria.

•Responsible for providing information to marketing and taking part in student recruitment

•Monitor and ensure the provision of accurate and timely course and learner data to the Administration team, and the consistent and correct application of enrolment in line with ESFA requirements.

•Have a thorough understanding of data, attention to detail and strive for continuous quality control.

•Contribute to the development of the curriculum portfolio.

GENERAL:

•Actively promote, market and present a positive image.

•Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role as well as supporting the training of those reporting to this post and available budgets.

•Be aware of and follow College policies and procedures, with particular attention to health and safety, safeguarding, risk management, equality and diversity, quality and our values and behaviours. You will be required to attend training as necessary and update own CPD record.

•Undertake any other responsibilities as required by the Managing Director.

•Delivery staff, including Assessors and Verifiers.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

•In depth knowledge and understanding of funded education and training.

•Experience of successfully managing budgets.

•An excellent knowledge and understanding of the English Apprenticeship Levy system.

•Knowledge of current Apprenticeship Standards and Frameworks.

•An excellent understanding of training & development in a work-based context.

•Successful experience of working with employers.

•Proven management experience in a work-based learning environment.

•Demonstrable experience of partnership working with a range of organisations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•Able to express ideas succinctly and clearly, both verbally and in writing.

•Able to communicate with a range of learners, staff and employers.

•Proven track record of delivery quality assurance.

•Able to demonstrate a clear commitment to high standards and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

•IT literate.

•Ability to travel across venues and campuses independently.
