HOW TO HOST AN INTERMEDIATE COACHING COURSE 2018

Applying to host an Intermediate Face to Face Course (8 hours)

  • Complete the “Application to Host an IntermediateCoaching Course Form” and send to Netball Victoria’s Coach Development Coordinator- Pathways at least six weeks prior to the requested dates for the course.
  • Ensure that all details are completed including three possible dates for the course.
  • The Coach Development Coordinator – Pathways will confirm course details via email.

Who organises what?

  • Netball Victoria: Coach Developer payment, travel & accommodation, manuals, resource materials & NCAS Registration
  • Course Coordinator: Venue, equipment,Lunch for the Coach Developer and where possible TV/DVD facility.
  • Coaches:All coaches attending course, need to provide two players for the practical assessment. Both players need to be at least 15 years old and will be required from 1.30pm-4.00pm. Failure to provide players will result in the coach not being able to be assessed (therefore unable to obtain accreditation)
  • Association: Payment for all costs incurred for venue hire, equipment and refreshments including lunch for the Coach Developer

Prior to Course

  • Confirmation details are sent to the designated Course Coordinator once the course date has been confirmed.
  • Course Coordinator to direct applicants to MyNetball Learning for online enrolment. Netball Victoria will send instruction guide to Course Coordinator to assist coaches to enrol online.
  • Minimum number of participants for an Intermediate Course is 5 and maximum is 10
  • The Coach Development Coordinator will contact the Course Coordinator regarding final participant numbers and will then forward the course registration sheet, manuals and resource material
  • Course Coordinator to confirm venue (meeting room and court – preferably indoor),balls, bibs, cones and whiteboard
  • The Course Coordinator should contact the Coach Developer prior to the course to confirm equipment required

During the Course

  • The Course Coordinator MUST be present for the duration of the course
  • Mark participant attendance and confirm all listed details are correct
  • Assist the Coach Developer as required
  • Ensure course material sent by Netball Victoria is distributed at course.
  • Ensure players who are arriving for assessment have warmed up and ready to go by 1.30pm

Conclusion of Course

  • Forward the completed registration sheet, evaluation forms and all unused course materials to the Coach Development Coordinator to be received no later than 7 days after the course.

APPLICATION TO HOST A COACHING COURSE -INTERMEDIATE

AT LEAST EIGHT WEEKS NOTIFICATION MUST BE GIVEN FOR EVERY COURSE

Approval of course dates will depend on Developer availability, clashes with Netball Victoria events and other courses scheduled within the same Region.

The Coach Development Coordinator - Pathways at Netball Victoria will liaise directly with Course Coordinators regarding dates.

  • If applying to host the IntermediateCoaching Course Face to Face, please be aware that ALL applicants must have first successfully completed ALL the pre-requisites.
  • All Candidates must be 2018 Netball Victoria Full Financial Members and have enrolled into course via MyNetball Learning.
  • No enrolments will be accepted in to this course for any coaches that have not completed these pre-requisites.
