Application and supporting statement

IN CONFIDENCE

Applications will be considered by a decision making panel and places offered based on;

  • the extent to which you have demonstrated that your learning needs are a good fit for the programme and your commitment towards the programme;
  • the outcome of an initial assessment of your English and maths skills (support for English and maths can be given as part of the training programme if required);
  • the extent to which your job role is, or could be amended to be, suitable for this training programme; and
  • the number of places available as currently planned. More programmes will be offered later in the year and those who meet the criteria will be offered a place when available;
  • support from your line manager to enable you to take time out of your working week for training.

Apprenticeship training for staff is supported by the government apprenticeship levy and we therefore need to ensure that that applicants meet the criteria for funding. Please use the relevant course outline to help you demonstrate that you meet the entry criteria. Successful applicants should demonstrate that this programme is a good fit for their learning needs and have their manager’s support to undertake the learning required. As long as applicants meet the entry criteria and have their manager’s support, they will be able to undertake the programme when a place is available.
