4thNorth West Regional SEN Mathematics Conference

This year’s conference will be our fourth annual conference for teachers, teaching assistants and mathematics coordinators working with pupils in all special needs settings.

Our aim is to provide the opportunity to hear about current national issues and, through our workshops,to offer very practical advice and relevant activities to use in the classroom.

The day will start with our keynote speaker Pauline Pitman, Cross Phase Regional Adviser for Special Needs with the Primary and Secondary National Strategies. Dave Parkes, SEN Adviser with Lancashire LA will offer delegates final thoughts in a plenary address to end the day.

There will be a series of workshops presented by secondary mathematics consultants and teachers working in a range of special needs settings, for delegates to choose.

During the day delegates will have the opportunity to view exhibitions of a range of publishers’ resources. Sincere thanks are extended to Roger Smith and Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation for continued sponsorship of this conference.

Teachers, teaching assistants and consultants from across the region have found these conferences a stimulating and valuable resource. The large number of positive evaluations suggests that the North West SEN Mathematics conference represents excellent value for money.
