Three colour photographs of the stall, van, barrow, cart etc that will be used for the street trading activity
Where the proposed street trading activity is form a fixed position, a copy of a map of at least 1:1250 scale, which clearly shows the proposed site position by marking the site boundary with a red line.
An original copy of certificate of insurance that covers the street trading activity for third party and public liability risks.

Notes, including Extracts from the Council’s Street Trading Policy

  1. Persons under 17 years of age may not apply for a Street Trading Consent.
  2. Details of the application may be sent to various groups including the Police, Highways, Fire & Rescue and Ward Councillors for comment.
  3. For new applications, further consultations could be carried out with property owners within 100 metres of the proposed site.
  4. If objections are received, they will be considered against the criteria contained in the Council’s Street Trading Policy.
  5. In certain circumstances, the Council may wish to add, alter or amend the condition on a trading consent. If this is the case then the authorised officer will notify theconsent holder of their intention and the consent holder will be given the chance tomake representations against this variation of the trading consent.
  6. There is no appeal against the decision of the Council.
  7. An application for renewal of a Consent should be made no later than 56 days before the expiry of the previous Consent and must be accompanied by the appropriate fee and relevant documentation.
