I hereby declare as follows –
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP 2016
● I am aware that the Rhino Powerlifting Club (the “Club”) is a voluntary sport club and that it will not receive any Government funding, assistance and/or recognition, nor will it ever in future. As such the Club cannot/will not award any Provincial, National (South African) colours or accolades. The Rhino Incentive Badge Scheme will be the only form of recognition of performance and reward; it will be the only accolade(s).
● If I qualify to participate in the annual World Championships, I may and will not refer to myself or the team as “South African”. I will abide by the Constitution and Rules of the Club, as well as the Global Powerlifting Committee and will not do, say or publish anything that will bring the Club and/or the GPC, its members or the sport of Powerlifting into disrepute; doing so may result in a disciplinary hearing and suspension/termination of membership.
● The only form of communication will be by e-mail to the above chosen address.
● I am aware of the existence of the officially recognised South African Powerlifting organisation (“SA-IPF”), affiliated to the International Powerlifting Federation. The Club does not seek to replace or be in opposition to SA-IPF; in fact there are distinct differences, inter alia, weight categories, rules, equipment (eg, the Monolift) and lifting apparel (eg, multi-layered suits and longer knee wraps). I will not sow discord and division and will treat the SA-IPF and its members with respect, striving for peaceful co-existence. I am aware of the SA-IPF policy of disallowing dual membership and that my membership to the Club may lead to the termination of my SA-IPF membership (if any).
● The joining and membership fee for 2016 will be R300-00.
● I have read and understand the contents and implications of the above and request to be accepted as a member of the Club.
