We are always in need of adult helpers, from Leaders to fundraisers and volunteers. What could you, as an adult, do to help us? You never know, it might help us to speed up your child’s admission to the Group:
Important: Joining Scouting is not just for your child; the Parents are required to participate from time to time. This could include the provision of, for example, cakes / biscuits for events, possibly helping set up, dismantle or take part in running an event such as the Send May Fair or Send Marsh Bonfire. By submitting this application you agree to take part in supporting this Scout Group in its endeavours to raise funds in order to keep subscriptions to a minimum and to maintain Group buildings and equipment once your child is a member.
Beaver Scouts are aged 6 to 8 years, Cub Scouts are 8 to 10½ years and Scouts are 10½ to 14 years of age. The earliest a place will be offered to a child to join Beavers is the first school term after the child’s sixth birthday. Scouting is currently very popular and many Scout Groups have to operate a waiting list – a position on the waiting list is determined by the date of birth, date of application, peer groupings and by parental offers of volunteering or leading.
