The LHS Medical Science Academy is dedicated to helping students make connections between rigorous core science courses and diagnostic/biomedical healthcare offerings to engage students in relevant, real-world studies.

●Before enrolling in the LHS Medical Science Academy, a student should carefully plan his/her academic and extracurricular schedule for the following year to accommodate the demands of the rigorous coursework.

●Students need to maintain a 3.7 GPA, be active members in HOSA/iGEM, professional attire on set days and complete 4 service credits within our community each semester. Service credits are events which may be several hours long in duration. This is NOT service hours.

●Once admitted to the Medical Science Academy, a student is expected to complete all pathway and core science and math requirements to be considered a Medical Science Academy completer.

●Active participation in HOSA entails competing in Fall, State or National Conferences. Competing on the iGEM team fulfills this requirement as well.
