Proposal for the Development of a DRAFT apt recommendation on frequency range for non-beam wpt for mobile devices

Introduction

APT Recommendation on frequency ranges for non-beam WPT technologies for mobile devices is being developed by APT.

AWG has completed a report on wireless power transmission ( WPT) with below frequency ranges inNon-ISM bands.

19 kHz – 21 kHz

42 kHz- 48 kHz:

52 kHz – 58 kHz

59 kHz - 61 kHz:

79 kHz - 90 kHz

110 kHz -205 kHz:

425 kHz - 524 kHz

Frequency bands and key parameters for different applications are summarized in Table 5.1 of report APT/AWG/REP-62(Rev.1).

Proposals

We recommend toidentify205 – 500 KHz as needing further study for worldwide harmonization of WPT frequencies.

And we also propose APT to submit the new frequency range to ITU-R WP1A and WP1B for WPT recommendation.
