Basildon A.C. is committed to offering the most up-to-date techniques and best practices available to develop top quality opportunities for our members, which are competitive athletes, coaches and technical officials.

To achieve this, we will identify new opportunities and develop the best pathways forward for progression by continual review of current practices and procedures within the club.This will be for the benefit of the Athletics Club and every Member.

Basildon A.C. requires permission to photograph or film any athlete for the use of educational or promotional material. Along with this, access to allmembership data will only be given to Club officials and England Athletics Governing Bodies, when it is deemed to be, in the best interest of either party. By signing this form you agree to the above.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP FEES

Joining Fee:£47Under18 and/Over 18 in full time education. This FEE INCLUDES your first year membership, club vest and England Athletics Registration.

Annual Membership:£28Membership runs from 1st April – 31st March.

Training Fee: £12/ £6 Monthly Standing Order/ Online Banking Mandate attached. £6 if only once a week. Payment Due Date 1steach month

University Student Living Away from Home

£64.00 If you are away from home at university we have a one off payment for the whole year which includes your Club Membership, UKA Registration and Training Fee payable by the 1st April

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP CLUB RULES

As a member of the Club, your child is expected to abide by the following Junior Rules:

  1. All members must train and compete within the Rules and respect Officials and their decisions;

2.All members respect other Club Members and their opponents in competitions;

3.All members become part of our team, and as a team we work together to achieve our goals. To do this, it is vital that you enter into the team spirit and do not let your team down.

4.Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their Coach or their Team Manager if they are going to be late;

5.You will be expected to compete unless you are competing at a level above Club Athletics or agreed by the Committee;

6.You will only be asked to compete once your Coach decides you are ready and able

7.If you miss 4 weeks training without reasonable explanation, your membership will be terminated and is non-refundable. Your place will be withdrawn and be offered to the next individual on the waiting list;

8.Members must wear suitable kit for training and competitions:

Training footwear:Suitable trainers and/or spikes

Competition footwear:Suitable trainers and/or spikes

Training kit:Suitable non restrictive clothes

Competition kit:Club Vest and Black/Blue Shorts/Knickers

9.Members must pay their membership fees; training fees and competition fees promptly;

10.Junior Members are not permitted to smoke or consume alcohol at training sessions and/or competitions;

11.The use of illegal drugs is strictly forbidden.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP WELFARE POLICY

Basildon A.C. is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its’ members. The Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, officials, administrators and parents associated with the Club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and well-being of others. Therefore members are encouraged to be open at all time and share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the Club with:

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS AND/OR GUARDIANS

Once your child/ren become members of Basildon A.C., we expect parents and guardians to play their part:

-by encouraging your child/ren to learn the rules and train and compete within them;

-discourage unfair play and arguing with officials;

-help your child/ren to recognise good performances, not just results;

-never force your child/ren to take part in sport;

-set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all;

-never punish or belittle a child/ren for losing or making mistakes;

-publicly accept officials decisions, there are procedures for dealing with problems;

-support your child/rens involvement and help them to enjoy athletics;

-use correct and proper language at all times;

-attend training and competitions whenever possible.

Equity Policy Statement
