Transitions Optical Names Grand Prize Winner of 2011 “Eyeglasses for Life” Promotion
CAMBRIDGE, ON., May 31, 2012 – Transitions Optical, Inc. has announced the grand prize winner of its second annual “Eyeglasses for Life” promotion. Throughout 2011, patients who registered their Transitions® lenses using the Transitions Certificate of Authenticity (COA) were automatically entered to win back the retail price of their eyeglasses, or the grand prize of free Transitions lenses with an anti-reflective (AR) coating for life.
Dave Brotsky of Vernon, British Columbia, who purchased his Transitions lenses at Vernon Optometry, was the lucky winner for 2011. Twelve runners up also won back the one-time purchase of their Transitions lenses (up to a $500 value). In 2011, nearly 25,000 Canadians registered their Transitions lenses using the Transitions COA.
Throughout the year, each time a patient registers his or her lenses online with the COA at Transitions.com/RegisterMyLenses and includes the eyecare professional’s Location Identification Number, the eyecare professional and dispensing lab earn points toward rewards through the Transitions Online Rewards Program (TORP). Rewards include Transitions-branded merchandise, gift cards and office items. With each COA registration, Transitions Optical will also donate $1 to the Eye Disease Foundation through the Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund™.
Eyecare professionals can remind patients about the 2012 COA program – while tying into Transitions Optical’s Life well lit™ global communication and advertising campaign – by displaying the “Eyeglasses for Life” Window or Mirror Cling in their office.
“The COA serves as the primary way for eyecare professionals to verify to their customers that they are receiving authentic Transitions lenses, and also serves as a reminder to reinforce the product benefits at the time of pick-up,” said Isabelle Tremblay-Dawson, marketing manager, Transitions Optical, Inc. “We’re pleased that the ‘Eyeglasses for Life’ promotion has continued to help build excitement around the COA program over the past two years.”
More information about the COA program can be found by visiting the Programs section within Transitions.com/CanadaProfessional. To begin earning rewards through the TORP program, eyecare professionals can visit Transitions.com/TORP, or contact Transitions Optical’s Customer Service at (877) 254-2950 ext. 2202 or .
