SPECIAL VILLAGE MEETING

MINUTES

June 9, 2015

Agreeable to the foregoing Warning, the legal voters of the Village of Derby Line met at the Village Hall on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 6:30 p.m., to transact the following business:

Present: Trustees; Keith Beadle, Roland (Buzzy) Roy, Lindsay Brainard, Moderator: Frank Davis, Treasurer; Laurie Moss, Press: Robin Smith (The Orleans County Record), Laura Carpenter(The Newport Daily Express) and 41 Residents.

The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by Moderator Franck Davis, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Moderator Frank Davis asked for a motion to approve the Annual meeting minutes

Moderator Frank Davis then explained the procedures for the meeting. Only registered voters will be allowed to vote and they should have sign in when they walked in so, if you have not please do so now.

To elect a Clerk for the remainer of the term Febuary 28, 2016: Susan Best nominated Laurie Moss, seconded by Michael MacBeth. There was a second nomination: Melody Ricard nominated Karen Jenne, seconded by Nancy Olney. Frank declaired nomations close. We can vote by voice or paper ballot. Donald Buschman asked for paper ballot. Frank instructed that we use the orange colored paper ballot. Madeline Roy asked why is the term till Febuary 28, 2016 when the term is till April's Annual Meeting. Keith Beadle replyed the there was a typo but the Village will appoint someone to finish the term. The voting is closed, The results for 30 voters Laurie Moss received 28 votes and Karen Jenne received 11 votes, Laurie Moss is the new Clerk.

To elect a Treasurer for the remainder of the term Febuary28, 2016: Diane Beadle nominated Laurie Moss, seconded by Susan Best. There was a second nomination: Melody Ricard nominated Karen Jenne, seconded by Nancy Olney. Frank declaired nomations close. We can vote by voice or paper ballot. Mike Gruteke made a motion for a voice ballot, Leo Dagesse made a motion a paper ballot Madeleine Roy second a paper ballot. Motion carried. Frank Davis instructed that the voter use the yellow ballot. The voting is closed, The results of 41 voters 1 blank ballot, Laurie Moss received 27 votes and Karne Jenne recieved 13 votes. Laurie Moss is the new Treasurer.

To elect a Tax Collector for the remainder of the term Febuary 28, 2016: Susan Best nominated Laurie Moss, seconded by Clauda Letourneau. There was a second nomination: Nancy Olney nominated Karen Jenne, seconded by Betty Fletcher. Frank declaired nomations close. Paper ballot has been asked for motion carried. Frank Davis instructed that the voter use the purple ballot.The voting is closed, The results of 41 voters Laurie Moss received 27 votes and Karne Jenne recieved 14 votes, Laurie Moss is the new Tax Collector.

To elect a Auditor for the remainder of the term Febuary 28, 2016: Diane Beadle nominated Susan Best, seconded by Keith Beadle and Keith Beadle moved to have the nomination cease and have the Clerk cast one Ballot: motion carried.

To Adjourn. Richard Creaser moved to adjourn at 7:05 p.m., seconded by Frank Davis, so moved: all in favor.
