A Journey from Fear to Love
Our third and final session in the series 'A Journey from Fear to Love' with Katharine Massamwillbe at Portarlington Uniting Church at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 28 March.

PORTARLINGTON
At a recent St Andrew’s Worship committee meeting it was decided to trial a MONTHLYMid-week Communion service, commencing Wed 4 April at 2.00pm. This will be for those on the communion remembrance prayer list and others who struggle to get to church by 9.00am.Indeed anyone who would like to attend.
It is envisaged that the service would be 30-45 minutes duration with an afternoon tea following in the church.
Pastoral carers, please see Joytodayfor invitation cards (thankyou Pammi) to take to those on your pastoral lists whom you think may wish to come to such a service and invite them along.
If other members of the congregation would like to invite a neighbour or friend, please see Joy for invitation cards.
Transport arrangements are still to be worked out.
Members of the WorshipCommittee believe this initiative can be an important outreach into our community, both for church members and others who may not be able to attend at 9am on Sunday mornings.

Asylum Seeker Event, 2018
St Andrews will again host a special service focusing on asylum seekers at 9.00am on Sunday, 22 April.
The service will be followed by a special lunch at 12.30pm. This will feature a two course buffet meal of authentic Iraqi cuisine prepared by Siham and Abdul.
Guest speakers will be Alison Corke and Para Paheer, authors of 'The Power of Good - Surviving Sri Lanka's Civil War'.
Lunch cost - $25. Bookings are essential.

Guess Who Is Coming to High Tea
This week, all members of the congregation should be receiving their invitation to our Annual High Tea to be held on Sunday, 15 April at 2.30 pm. Please fill in the return slip and put in the box at the church, RSVPs due by 1 April. If you have any questions, please contact ValLestrange.
Walk of Witness
Drysdale Uniting Church is the host church for this year's Walk of Witness.
The walk will be held on 30 March at about 10.45 am, after the Good Friday Service. It will commence at the front of the church and proceed along Collins St, stopping at different points to St James Anglican Church, where morning tea and hot cross buns will be served.
