Anne Kantor Kellett
Anne Kantor Kellett was born in New York City, 1949. She grew up in Queens and attended High School of Music and Art and is a graduate of Fordham University.
Anne has studied art and photography at The Art Student League, NY and Italy, The National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts, NY and the International Center for Photography, NY. Her instructors have included notable artists such as Aaron Shikler, Wolf Kahn, Ellen Eagle, Robert Carsten, Mary Beth McKenzie, Sharon Sprung, Nicki Orbach, Maurizio Pellegrin, Barney Hodes, Anthony Antonios, Zeke Berman and Laura Larsen.
Recently, Anne graduated the diploma program at the National Academy Museum and School of Fine Art and was the recipient of a 2011 Newington Cropsey Foundation Fellowship for Sculpture under the direction of Greg Wyatt. Currently, Anne works at her studios in Vermont and NY.
As the daughter of Jewish Holocaust survivors, Anne has been dedicated to helping women and children to improve their lives and has led 3 missions to Rwanda. As an artist, she is in pursuit of expressing our environment and communicating the human condition through engaging and thought provoking work.
Anne is also developing programs to further affect change through art. She is working with the Genocide Survivor Support Network to launch art and career development workshops in Maine and partnering with Rwandan government officials to organize a team of artists and survivors to create a memorial sculpture for installation in Rwanda.
