Anifest Logo Competition Guidelines

The South East’s only annual animation festival,Anifest is running a competition for a logo design based around this year’s festival theme of “Manga” so if you have a design talent, get creative and make us a logo!

Prizes include tickets to the festival in October, work experience or mentoring with a Kent based design company and a one year GulbCard giving discounts at The Gulbenkian on cinema and theatre performances plus café discounts on selected drinks!

BRIEF

Canterbury Anifest is a successful and important annual cultural event, which brings together international speakers, animation master classes, film screenings, and the Anifest Awards. In past years, the festival has welcomed high profile speakers from animation studios including Pixar Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation and Aardman Studios.

Building on the success of the past, a new partnership is in place between TheGulbenkian and Canterbury Christ Church University to develop the festival with confirmed support from Canterbury City Council and Kent County Council.

The logo should capture 2014’s festival theme which is Manga and will be used on the website and all marketing materials for this year’s festival only.

HOW TO ENTER

  • Logo(s)must be submitted electronically by email to cluding a phone number, email and Kent postal address.
  • The logo(s)should be saved in a high resolution, but the total email size must not exceed 25MB. File formats accepted will be: .gif, .jpeg, .png.
  • Entry is free.
  • A maximum of 3 logos can be submitted per person.
  • The logo must be legible and clearly say Anifest.
  • The logo must workin both small and large formats.
  • The logo should work in full colour and a single colour/B&W version.

DEADLINE

All entries must be submitted by midnight on Friday 4th July 2014.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to individuals or businesses based in Kent.

Entries thatdo not meet the eligibility criteria or do not include the correct information will not be accepted.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All submitted work must be original and not based on any pre-existing design.

The logomust be the property of the entrant, with all rights granted therein.

Anifest, ormembers of the Anifest Advisory Boardare not liable for any copyright infringement by entrants.

By submitting to the competition, the Entrant agrees tofully and unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions.

The winning entry will become the sole property of Anifest who may exploit it in perpetuity in all media worldwide.

JUDGING

The winning design will be selected by judges from the Anifest Advisory Board and the decision will be final.

The Anifest Advisory Boardreserves the right not to select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

PRIZE AND NOTIFCATION

The designer of the winning logo will win a pair of Anifest tickets as well as the opportunity to receive mentoring or work experience from a Canterbury based design company and a one year GulbCard giving discounts at The Gulbenkian.

The winner will be informed if their entry has been successful via email or phone.

Unfortunately we cannot contact all entrants to inform them they have not been successful however the winner will be announced on the Kent Film Office website by 1st August 2014.
