ENDOWED CHAIR’S ANNUAL REPORT

The Chairs must submit their Endowed Chair Annual Report to the Dean on or before July 10 in year of review/reappointment, as well as, each year not under review/reappointment.

ENDOWED CHAIR’S REVIEW/REAPPOINTMENT PERIODS:

  1. Dan Sweat Chair reviewed/reappointed every 3 years.
  2. Noah Langdale, Jr. Eminent Scholar Chair reviewed/reappointedevery 5 years.
  3. Bernard and Eugenia Ramsey Chair of Non-Profit Enterprise reviewed/reappointed every 5 years.
  4. W. J. Usery, Jr. Chair of the American Workplace reviewed/reappointedevery 5 years.

PURPOSE OF ENDOWED CHAIR’S CUMULATIVE REVIEW

The purpose of the cumulative review is to assess the endowed chair’s development goals and achievements and to provide objectives and plans for the endowed chair to help the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies fulfill its mission.

REVIEWERS CRITERIA GUIDELINES

  1. The endowed chair’s review should address accomplishments in research and service and based on available information.
  2. The endowed chair will submit:
  1. Copies of annual reports received during the 3 or 5 years review period

Note:An Annual Report will be completed every

year not just during this evaluation period.

  1. Any other materials specified by the Dean

July 10Endowed Chair’s Annual Report on Endowed Chair Due

Note:Annual Report will be completed every year

not just during this evaluation period.

August 1Dean sends criteria guidelines to Internal and External reviewers

specifying an August 21st due date.

August 21Internal and External Reviewer’s submit their report documents

to the Dean.

August 21 - 30Dean reviews the endowed chair’s annual reports, as well as, the

Internaland External reviewer’s reports and makes decision to

re-appoint or notto re-appoint.

August 31Dean’s letter to re-appoint or not to re-appoint is due to incumbent

including a copy to the Provost.

September 7Incumbent’s acceptance letter is due to Dean.
