1.5 / Treasurer’s Reports
Tony Desjardins was absent but he provides us with the treasurer’s Reports for the period ending September 30th, 2010. The report didn’t include the golf tournament that was held September 24, 2010. Please see attachment for more details about the report.

Provincial Council
· Maryse Doucet presents the APEGNB summary report from the APEGNB Council Meeting October 14, 2010. There was some comment:
· The mailing list system to the member as two options, all the correspondence and voting ballot or no correspondence and no voting ballot. If two members as the same address, everything will be send twice, if one says no to correspondence, they will not have the right to vote.
· Réjean suggested that the APEGNB verify that the online voting system works both in English and French. Some can be case sensitive.
Professional Activities
· Rejean stated that he will follow up regarding the U de M new stadium tour. He proposed Thursday November 25th, 2010 around 6h30 p.m. Will confirm the meeting location.
· The ASHRAE NB/PEI Chapter in collaboration with the APEGNB Moncton Branch will be hosting a Conference on Professional Liability. The location is at the Banquet room of the City Grill, 130 Westmorland Street, and it on Tuesday November 9, 2010 starting at 5:00 PM.
Social Activities
· Veronique mentioned the Lobster Dinner was a great turn out. This year there was more members that assisted to the dinner.
· The golf tournament was good venue, even if the weather wasn’t great, all the teams showed up. We had a couple student teams that took advantage of the offer. The blackjack contest, “Blackjack for Scholarship and win chance to win Bottle of Rum” was a success; this will be repeat for the golf tournament next year. Approximately $130 was raised for the scholarship.
· It was mention to move the golf tournament to a sooner date in September, to attract more members. This year it was held the four week of September, and usually it the third week.
· The next event coming up is the Member reception in January, 2011. The reception in the past two year took place at the Mexicali Rosa’s.
· Serge mentioned there will be the member hockey tournament this winter. They are looking for players.
· Possibility to organize an Engineering Students vs APEGNB Members hockey game.

1.7 / New Business
a) SAE “Supermileage” UdeM team requested donation for their trip to Marshall, Michigan US on June 9-10, 2011. The Branch Executive agreed to donate 250$.
b) A student from UdeM, Joel Vallée, went to Cuzco, Peru as a volunteer with mondiale solidarité. They help a community center to rebuilt retaining wall to save the playground. He will do a presentation of is experience of building a retaining wall with the CSCE the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering. This will be held at the University of Moncton. Time to be announced.
c) Branch Executive Past Chair has received a request for information from the NB Museum regarding the evolution of NB geologically. The Branch Executive agreed to send the request to the provincial office.
d) The University of Moncton would like to approach the APEGNB to have funding for a student recruitment representative like it was offered to UNB.

The next meeting will be held Friday December 10, 2010 at noon. Location Maverick restaurant in the Future Inn, Moncton, NB for the Christmas Luncheon. Hélène will book the reservation. / Hélène
