ANGEL- Both hands touch respective shoulder then both hand bend outward with elbows bent as if the hands were wings.

COME-DOWN: Right hand in #1 hand shape with pointer upward. The pointer finger is up in the sky and then slowly moves down towards yourself.

JOSEPH SMITH (J.S.): J is done by taking the pinky finger and drawing a J in the air. An S is done by closing the right hand in a fist with the thumb in front.

(AND FROM THE GROUND HE TOOK)

THERE: Right palm outward and upward and pointing to the ground.

GROUND: Both hands in the flattened O hand shape and rub the fingers against the thumb simultaneously.

(A SACRED RECORD HIDDEN THERE)

SACRED: One hand is a closed fist (S hand shape), which is on top of an open hand and move across hand from fingers to palm then open the right hand flattened and move it from palm to fingers.

BOOK: Both hand together and then move them apart in a V shape as if your hand book which was opening.

HIDDEN: Right hand in A hand shape and left hand cupped in the air with palm down. Then move the right hand from mouth down and underneath the left hand like you are hiding something.

(A PRECIOUS, HOLY BOOK)

JOSEPH SMITH (J.S.): J is done by taking the pinky finger and drawing a J in the air. An S is done by closing the right hand in a fist with the thumb in front.

PICKED-UP: Reach down and pick up a three inch book with one hand on the top and one on the bottom and bring close to self.

PRECIOUS: The right hand in C hand shape and then grabs down by the chin into fist shape moving downward (representing holding something of value)

HOLY: Left palm open and right hand in H hand shape. Move the right hand over left hand from the wrist up to the fingers.

BOOK: Both hand together and then move them apart in a V shape as if your hand book which was opening.

VERSE 2

(IT TELLS OF PEOPLE LONG AGO)

BOOK: Both hand together and then move them apart in a V shape as if your hand book which was opening.

EXPLAINED: F hand shapes with both hands only a few inches apart pinkies are closest to the ground. The hands alternate forward and back near chest.

PEOPLE: Both hands in P hand shape down by waist and moving upward in alternating circles.

LONG-AGO: Both hands in the open 5 hand shape and facing one another then with one hand up and one back and moving in circles near shoulder.

(LED BY THE LORD’S OWN HAND)

LORD: Right hand in L hand shape. Place right hand on left shoulder and then down to right hip.

FINISH: Both hand in 5 hand shape facing outward at about shoulder. Then face palms inward and concurrently make a circle then back to the shoulders and palms are facing out.

LED: Left hand 5 shape right hand grabs the four fingers of left hand and move it from chest forward outward.

(WHO LEFT THEIR HOMES AND CROSSED THE SEA)

LEFT: Both hands in five hand shape with palms down pointing to left with on in front of the other. Then move both hands to the center chest and close hand in A hand shape

HOME: Right hand in O hand shape. Touch mouth and then move hand to top of cheek bone.

BOAT: Both hands cupped together with pinkies touching forming a boat.

CROSSED-SEA: Move them boat forward and outward as if it is crossing waters.

(TO REACH A FAVORED LAND)

ARRIVED: Left hand out palm up and right near shoulder with palm facing body. Then move the right palm on top of the left palm so both palms are upward.

PROMISED: Left hand in fist and right hand in one hand shape at mouth. Bring the right hand down to the five hand shape and rest it on top of the fist with the palm downward.

LAND: Both hands in the flattened O hand shape and rub the fingers against the thumb simultaneously twice and then take right hand and open with palm down and move it in a circular motion from right to left indicated flat land.

VERSE 3

(THE NEPHITES AND THE LAMANITES)

NEPHITES-GROUP: Right hand in N hand shape and touches chin and then forehead. Both hands in C hand shape. Touch the pointer fingers together and then make circle as if holding a large jar which represent a group of people.

LAMANITES-GROUP: Right hand in L hand shape and touches chin and then forehead. Both hands in C hand shape. Touch the pointer fingers together and then make circle as if holding a large jar which represent a group of people.

(AND ALL WHO CAME TO DWELL)

ALL: Both hands in open 5 hand shape. Left hand palm facing upward and the right palm facing downward one foot apart. Then take the right hand and make a circle and flip the hand over resting it on left palm.

GATHERED-TOGETHER: Both hands in 5 hand shape facing each other with hands far apart. Then wiggle the fingers as they come together with fists and thumbs upward. hold hands far apart fingers wiggle and touch in a hand shape thumbs up. Then move the hands touching the fists together in a circle.

DWELL: Both hands in fists with thumbs up. Move the hands from fists stomach up to chest area.

(HAD PEACE WHEN THEY OBEYED THE LORD)

THEY: Right hand open facing upward. Then move it from left to right.

HAVE: Both hands with fingers close together and thumbs extended and then touch chest near heart with a few inches apart.

PEACE: Both hands in C hand shape clasping one another and then switch the hand on bottom to the top hand and the hand on the top to the bottom. Then both hands out to open palms in front of the body.

WHY?: Right hand with the palm facing right side of the forehead. Then begin to wiggle the middle finger and raise eyebrows tilting your head slightly to the right.

OBEY: O hand shapes for both hands. Place hands near forehead and cheek with one hand on top of the other and then move to open palm upward toward Deity.

LORD: Right hand in L hand shape. Place right hand on left shoulder and then down to right hip.

(THE SACRED RECORDS TELL)

BOOK: Both hand together and then move them apart in a V shape as if your hand book which was opening.

FINISH: Both hands in 5 hand shape with the palms facing the chest. Then rotate wrists and both of the hands concurrently in a semi-circle until the palms are then facing outward.

VERSE 4

(AND NOW I’LL READ THE SACRED BOOK)

NOW: Both hands in Y hand shapes with palms facing up and drop hands down sharply twice.

I: Point to self.

READ: The left hand palm facing upward. The right hand is in the V hand shape . The 2 fingers touch the palm twice which is an indication of a book.

SACRED: One hand is a closed fist, which is on top of an open hand. Then move upward from waist to top of chest.

BOOK: Both hand together and then move them apart in a V shape as if your hand book which was opening.

(AND THEN I’LL UNDERSTAND)

ME: Point to self.

UNDERSTAND (UNDERSTAND GOD): Right hand in A shape on forehead. Then move the hand outward and springs up to a #1 hand shape and move toward Deity.

(THAT HEAV’NLY FATHER LOVES US ALL)

HEAVENLY FATHER: Palms down in air above forehead and tie a knot. Then move both hands with fists and thumbs up. Right is on the forehead and the left is on right hand. Then they both open to the five hand shape as they move forward.

LOVE: Both hands in fists and then cross across the heart.

US: Right hand in 1 hand shape touch chest on right side and then on the left side.

ALL: Both hands in open 5 hand shape. Left hand palm facing upward and the right palm facing downward one foot apart. Then take the right hand and make a circle and flip the hand over resting it on left palm.

(IN EACH AND EV’RY LAND)

PEOPLE: Both hands in K hand shape down by waist and moving upward in alternating circles.

ALL-OVER-LANDS: Both hands in an open five hand shape with palms facing down. The right hand reaching out and around from right to left.
