Il-76TD ER-IAR

Apparently the Moldovans understand that, with an average age of the nowadays spotter population, registrations need to be applied in a larger format. Il-76TD ER-IAR is reported on the Ilyushin website as being c/n 0063470088 where the Moldovan register gives this same c/n as being registered as ER-IAP on June 13th 2013. Looking carefully the second R in the registration is different to the first R and might well have been a P before. Also it is known this c/n was still present at Fujairah November 2014 as EY-701 long after it was officially registered ER-IAP. To be continued. (Khartoum, summer 2015, Jibril Kafoori)

An-26 EK-26005

In line with many EK registered aircraft this An-26 wears no hyphen in the registration. Its c/n is so far unknown but looking at the registration it is assumed it ends at either 05 or 005. Also it is known this aircraft flew from Katowice (where half a dozen An-26s are seen stored on Google Earth) to Aswan on 20th June 2015 which suggest it might be one of the many former SP- registered Exin aircraft. Exin had two An-26s with a c/n ending at 05 being 11305 SP-FDR and 12205 SP-FDS and just before going to press it is confirmed indeed it is c/n 12205. (Khartoum, summer 2015, Jibril Kafoori)

An-28 EK-2809 foto over 1 kolom breedte

This An-28 was registered EK-2809 on 30th January 2013 and was registered ST-TRC before. It likes Sudan obviously as it still flies around there with its distinguished pink/purple tail. First sighting as such was in Juba November 2014 and recently it was snapped at El Fasher, active and accompanied by another, unknown An-28. (El Fasher, summer 2015, Jibril Kafoori)
