America's ToothFairy: NCOHF is dedicated to eliminating children’s pain and suffering from preventable pediatric dental disease, more commonly known as severe tooth decay, and improving quality of life for at-risk children. Dental care is the most prevalent current health care need for disadvantaged children. As Educator, Preventer and Protector, America's ToothFairy drives systems change by delivering proven programs and resources that expand access to care and education, improve oral health literacy, and promote overall dental wellness. The vision is to create a world where no child suffers from preventable tooth decay.

Formed in the U.S. in 2006 as a collaborative effort of clinicians, academicians, corporate leaders and caring individuals, America's ToothFairy supports the delivery of oral health education and care for children of all ages. In the past year the programs and affiliate partners have touched over 2.2 million children. NCOHF has an outstanding Board of Directors made up of business leaders, leaders in dentistry and academicians, and a strong Scientific Advisory Board made up of healthcare leaders from the field of dentistry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chief Development Officer (CDO) must be a seasoned development professional with exceptional communication and marketing skills who delivers results, drives revenue and is passionate about the cause. He/She must have proven ability to engage and mobilize people to take action, with expertise in brand management and harnessing contemporary communication vehicles and a visionary approach to drive messages. The CDO will expand and enhance external relations, design and manage national/international campaigns, cultivate and solicit support from corporations and individuals. The CDO will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining and executing plans with regional, national and international program leaders to help support annual fundraising goals.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred;
  • eight years of proven success and demonstrated leadership in designing and implementing business development strategies, brand management, and developing portfolios with specific opportunities and initiatives for individual or corporate gifts;
  • demonstrated ability, maturity and depth of professional experience to effectively manage multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • demonstrated sensitivity, understanding and commitment to the mission and core values of America's ToothFairy;
  • advanced skill in computer systems and database management platforms such as eTapestry, Raisers Edge or Salesforce;
  • proven ability to create constructive partnerships and attract pro bono services for business development;
  • experience in identifying grant funding opportunities and drafting grant proposals preferred;
  • experience in moves management and relationship development preferred.
