2:00 P.M. -We will be touring the Pioneer Seed CornResearch Facility at Princeton.Across the interstate to the northwest.
4:00 P.M.- Illinois Board Meeting
5:00 P.M. -This will be a mystery activity.
6:00 P.M. - Dinner provided by Illinois Board.
The hospitality room is very nice and will be openmost of the time. Snacks appreciated.
SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2014
8:15 A.M. - We will be car-pooling to "Mid-American Growers", at Granville,Illinois.
This is a 70 acre growing nursery, and is considered the largest, as well as the most modern in the Midwest. They ship millions of plants to many large customers each year.Consider the weather this activity when packing
11:00 A.M. -After returning to Princeton we will be touring the Owen LovejoyHome.
This home was usedas an "Under-Ground Railway", to move run-awayslaves during the Civil War.
LUNCH on your own.
12:30 P.M.- Woodley Aerial Spray, Inc., 10629 2550 N. Ave. Walnut, IL 61376. Learn how they fly and spray fields using GPS & other software. This will be followed by McCune Tillage Systems, 7133 2300 North Ave., Manlius, IL 61376
OR-Use the afternoon to see the Historical Museum, Covered Bridge, and Hoffman’s "Patterns of the Past", or just rest or visit with friends.
5:30 P.M.-Two Meat Dinner at the Princeton Elks Lodge. (Next to the Lovejoy House) After dinner we will be conducting the Illinois SIA Chapter Annual Meeting.
7:00-11:00 P.M.-Dancing to "The Generics Band" on a large wooden floor at the Elks Lodge.

Directions to Mid-American Growers:
Around 21 miles. Leave American Inn and proceed to lLRt.26 North. Turn East onto I-80 and proceed 13.4 miles to you see exit #70 (IL Rt. 89)
Turn right (South) and go 3.6 miles to Spring Valley and at the first stoplight you willturn right unto North Spaulding St. (stillIL Rt. 89). Goon Rt. 89 for 2.8 miles. You will be crossing the Illinois River. At the top of the hill you will see MidAmerican Growers to your left. Turn left and proceedto 14240 Greenhouse Ave, Granville, IL.
DirectionsBack to Princeton for Owen Lovejoy Home:
18 miles. Turn right off of Greenhouse Ave onto Ill Rt. 89 and go back to Spring Valley (east) you will go 2.8 miles to the stoplight, and turn left onto West Dakota St. (still IL Rt. 89). Proceed 3.2 miles on Rt. 89, (north)past the Wal-Mart Distribution Center till you reach IL Rt. 6. You will turn left (west) on to Rt. 6 for around 12.1 miles into the edge of Princeton to the Lovejoy House,1105 E. Peru St.
(Noticeto the left of the home is the Princeton Elks Club, the location for dinner and dance on Saturday).
Directions to Woodley Aerial Spray
Cross over I-80 overpass(N) Turn left onto I-80west ramp. Go11.5 miles to Exit #45 (Peoria-Sterling). Turn left (N) for 8.5 miles, to 2500 Ave. North, and turn right (E)for 0.6 miles.
Continueon 2525 Ave. North for 0.6 mi. Then at 2530 North Ave go for 0.3 miles.Turn left onto 1025 for 0.2miles. Bear rightonto 2550 North Ave. You will see two airplane hangars and a log home.
Note: after you turn off of IL #40 you will be anglingwith several small turns. You will always be (E) of Rt. # 40.
Directions to McCune Tillage Systems
After the1st tour we will be stoppingat McCune Tillage Systems.
You proceed back (W) to Rt.#40 and turn left (S) for 2.1 miles. At 2300Ave. turn right (W), and go 1.2 miles to 7133 2300 North Ave.
You will see a large gray house on your right along with a large bright red shop. Turn in at the shop
and park.
Return to Princeton
Be sureto return to Princeton in time to get ready for Dinner, Meeting, and Dance. You will go back to IL #40 (E)and goright(S) toI-80. Go over the interstate and get on the East bound ramp and proceed back to Princeton,American Inn.
