Your new cover comes to you with a protective liner. Do not remove liner until prompted to by instructions.
1. Remove the two bolts securing the bracket at the drivers’ side shock tower. NOTE: These bolts will not be reused. Re-secure this bracket using the one washer head screw and flat nut provided. Place this screw in the original hole closest to the fender then hold the flat nut to the screw tip and carefully tighten. Doing this creates needed clearance.
2. You will notice a bolt holding a ground cable on the opposite shock tower. Remove the bolt and reposition the cable underneath the same mounting hole and reattach.
3. You will notice a large cable to the right side of the battery and also an extra large cable mounted to the battery tray. The large cable will need to be detached from its adjoining cables so that you will be able to secure it to the battery tray using the zip tie provided. In order to be able to do this you must first detach the extra large cable from the battery tray which will expose a nice attachment hole for you to put the zip tie thru. Just simply place the zip tie thru the hole and attach both cables tightly in place.
4. The positive battery cable will also have to be repositioned so that the cable routes towards the firewall. In some models there will be a cable that is mounted to the battery in an upwards position. If so equipped remove the positive cable and flatten the connector so that it can be attached in a way that will sit flat and towards the firewall.
5. You have been supplied with two dome covers for the shock towers. In order to use these it will be necessary to trim off the excess threads at all five bolt locations at the top of both towers. This can easily be done with a shop cut off wheel which can be found at any body shop supply or auto parts store. Once you have attained this tool simply slice the excess threads away. Doing this will prevent any outward dimples in the new covers and it will also create adequate clearance between the dome and the hood. At this time you may want to look at the batteries positive cable attachment nut. You will notice that the cable bolt may be higher then the batteries top. If so use the cut off wheel to nip off the studs excess threads. BE ESPECIALLY CAREFULL TO CONTAIN THE CUTTING SPARKS FROM THE BATTERY BY REMOVING THE CABLE TO CUT THE STUD.
6. Now that you have successfully completed all clearance modifications you may begin installation of the fender covers. Let’s begin with the drivers’ side. With the cover in your hand you will notice that there is a small square plate just under the new cover. This plate is designed to slip under the fender ridge to secure the front of the fender in place then line up the small hole in the cover with the threaded hole in the shock tower bracket that you modified earlier. You may have to nudge the A/C lines to allow proper placement. Once this hole has been lined up you may secure the cover using the thumb screw provided. Be careful not to over tighten the screw as this will cause an unsightly distortion in the cover. Just snug will be sufficient. Place one of the two domes in position over the modified shock tower so that the smaller side faces the back of the car aiming a little to the fender. (About one o’clock).
7. In order to begin placement of the passenger side cover you will need to remove the fuse box cover and the engines oil fill cap. Place the cover in position and carefully slide the under side plate over the fender ridge as you simultaneously push in the hood pin switch if so equipped. If your car does not have a hood pin switch you have been supplied with a chrome cap to cover the hole for this option. Silicone this cover in place using a small amount of clear household silicone to permanently conceal the hole. Positioning can be a little tricky so HAVE PATIENCE. Once you have successfully positioned the cover align the small hole and attach using the remaining thumb screw provided. Place the dome cover in position with the small side facing at about eleven o’clock.
8. Once the two main covers have been installed properly you can begin installing the remaining pieces. You have been supplied with a stainless fuse box cover. This cover is designed to fit both to the factory fuse box cover and your new stainless fender cover simultaneously. In order to set this you will have to remove the small plastic positive cable cover from the main cover. NOTE: This little cover will not be reused. Next remove the two little cross tabs that latch the fuse box cover to the front and rear of the fuse box itself. This will allow you to remove and replace the plastic cover freely. Once this is done simply slide the modified cover over the fuse box and set in position. Now that you have replaced the factory cover you can install the stainless fuse box cover. You will notice that the new cover has a removable Velcro strip attached to the underside. This strip is to be attached to the very front top edge of the factory plastic cover. First clean the factory cover in this area by wiping it with household rubbing alcohol to remove any and all dirt. Then swipe the area with the adhesive promoter provided. Once this step has been completed simply peel and stick the Velcro strip into position and press firmly to set. Your stainless fuse box cover will have a diagonal tab also containing a Velcro attachment strip attached to it. This tab is to be slid under the fuse box opening at the rear of the new main cover where there will be the other side of the attachment Velcro. Simply slide the new cover under this opening then directly on top of the plastic cover. Press down on the front and pull up on the back to set. At this time you may remove the protective liner off of the main covers as well as the domes and fuse box cover.
9. You have been supplied with a battery cap and a master cylinder cap. These two covers were designed to set on top of the master cylinder reservoir and the battery in a diagonal position. The idea is to create a nice symmetrical appearance from what otherwise would be an unsymmetrical arrangement. The covers will have about a half of an inch space between the covers and the main fender covers. However they do attach directly to the sides of the fender covers via an attachment cookie. Beginning with the battery cap cover you have been supplied with two lengths of Velcro attachment tape place these strips directly to the battery by cleaning the top surface with household rubbing alcohol first to remove any dirt and grime then swipe the area with the adhesive promoter provided. Once this has been done properly you can then simply peel and stick the attachment tape into position along the top of the battery. Before you remove the opposite side of the tape to actually attach the cover, set the cover in place to check the fit and also to get acquainted with just how and where it is to set in place. Once you are satisfied with just how it installs peel the liner from both the attachment tape strips on top of the battery and the Velcro cookie just inside the long side of the cover and reposition cap cover. Press firmly to set. The drivers’ side cover goes on much the same way however it will use two Velcro attachment cookies and a long self stick bracket designed to attach directly to our stainless firewall. Clean the brake fluid reservoir cap and swipe with the adhesive promoter provided then attach the Velcro attachment cookie. Position the cover so that it matches closely to the passenger side then mark the top level of the cover to the firewall with a marker, remove the cover. Swipe the area under the mark you just made with the adhesive promoter then peel and stick the aluminum bracket provide about a ¼” below this mark and press firmly to set. Reposition the cover and check to make sure that everything looks good then peel the release liner from both cookies and the long bracket and set the cover into position pressing firmly to set. Remove the two last protective liners from the covers.

Thank you and enjoy your new purchase.
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your covers. It is a good idea to lightly dust your covers with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from scratching them. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth or bounty paper towel) with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
