AMDM Unit 5 Bonus Activity

**Due by April 14, 2014**

How much sleep will you have enjoyed by May 31?

I imagine you will be doing many interesting things during your last school spring break. For this activity you will track how much you sleep, beginning tonight and concluding on next Friday, April 11. Keep a table of the day number and the number of hours and minutes you sleep. Then convert the hours and minutes to a total number of minutes for that night.

You are going to use this data to create a scatterplot and linear function. You are to describe its correlation and write a one-two paragraph summary about your sleep pattern. You will then calculate how many hours of sleep you accumulated from today, April 4, to Friday, May 30 (that is 56 days total).

You may do this on paper with a pen, type it, create a Powerpoint, a Prezi, an Excel workbook, or a poster. You can turn it in to me in class or via email by Monday, April 14.It should be neat and clear in focus and idea. Refer to the included rubric for details of how it will be graded. Be sure to have your name and class period on the assignment so you receive credit. This bonus activity is worth up to 200 bonus points. It will not be accepted late under any circumstances. If you are not at school on the due day then you are responsible for getting it to me, either trusting another student or emailing it to me. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED as this is only a bonus activity.
