MONDAY 5th DECEMBERSpecial Two Tower Christmas Hike, with the option of having lunch afterwards in the Bull’s Head, Toby carvery, Greenmount. (Lunch to be booked at the start of the walk.)

Route: Greenmount, Summerseat, Nangreaves via Bass House, Grants Tower, Nuttall Park, Holcombe, Peel Tower, Redisher Wood, Greenmount.

TUESDAY 27th DECEMBER: FESTIVE COUNTRYSIDEWALK with refreshments of mulled wine and mince pies.

Time Out: 10.30am.
Time back: 12.45pm.
Route: Greenmount, Croichley Fold to Hawkshaw, returning through the fields north of Hawkshaw.
Distance 4 miles Walk Grade between easy and medium, but with plenty of stiles.

Meeting Place Greenmount Old School at 8.40am or Tottington 9am On Kirklees Trail under bridge.
Time back 12.30pm
Route: Kirklees Trail, Burrs Country park, Summerseat, Brooksbottom, Woodhey, Redisher,Greenmount.
Distance 5 miles
Longer walk:
Meeting Place: Greenmount Old School at 8.40am or Hare & Hounds Holcombe Brook at 9am.
Time back 2.30pm.
Route: Redisher Wood, Holcombe Moor to John Turner’s Cave back through Hawkshaw.
Distance 8 to 9 miles
SATURDAY 21st JANUARY
Meeting Place: Tottington Bus terminus
Time Out: 2pm.
Time Back: 4pm.
Route: Claybutts, Windmill farm, Two Brooks Valley, Old Kays Park

WEDNESDAY 25th JANUARY
GREENMOUNT TO BELMONT FIRST OF FIVE WALKS TO COMPLETE THE WEST PENNINE WAY. Public Transport will be used for this walk.
