Community Housing Cymru’s PR and Communications Awards will take place at CHC’s PR Conference in Llandrindod Wells on Wednesday 3 December. The 12 categories are listed below – you can enter up to four categories. We will be asking participants to judge a specific category which you haven’t chosen to enter, so all the judging will be contained within the PR Network.

All submissions must range from 1 July 2013 to 30 September 2014.
You can send up to two pieces of evidence for each award (excluding Tenant Magazine (one piece of evidence), Annual Report (one piece of evidence) and Best Photograph (one piece of evidence).
Categories
- Tenant magazine or newsletter
- Submit 1 issue within 15 month period from 1 July2013 – 30 September2014
- Design award
- Two pieces of graphic design work by internal or external designer or agency to be submitted. Examples could include a logo or other branding, the layout of a publication, an advert, a poster etc.If the submission is from external designers used by the housing association, the name of the designer needs to be stated on entry.
- Annual report
- The most recent annual report produced to be submitted.
- Digital innovation
- An explanation of no more than 300 words explaining how digital innovation was used and for what purpose.
- Best website
- This award will be based on both the design and content of the website.
- This award will be judged by the judges on the same day to ensure that content and design is consistent for all judges.
- Effective use of Welsh language
Any method of communication such as a leaflet, interview, social media campaign in the medium of Welsh or in bilingual format. Will be judged on appropriateness of language and shaping of content for a Welsh language audience.
- Best campaign
Short explanation of no more than 300 words with evidence of the purpose of the campaign, how it took place and the outcomes achieved. Entries should demonstrate a positive outcome.
- Best internal communication
Short explanation of no more than 300 words on a method(s) of internal communication that has created positive outcomes for the organisation.
- Low budget initiative
Short explanation of no more than 300 words on how a creative idea enabled you to achieve media coverage or a response from the target audience with little or no budget
- Event
Submit an explanation of no more than 300 words about an event, whether it is an information event for tenants or stakeholders, why it took place and the outcomes that were achieved.
- Best photograph of the last year
One photograph to be submitted by each housing association, either internally by the housing association or commissioned by an external photographer. If the photograph was commissioned by an external photographer, please state their name in your entry.
- Successful partnership award
Short explanation of no more than 300 words on how you have communicated to partners within your organisation or with an external partner and the outcomes achieved.
