We are pleased to announce that the new afterschool clubs will be starting from 2nd May 2017 for 10 weeks with clubs running till W/C Tuesday 2nd May 2017 13th July (excluding May Half term 30th May – 2nd June 2017)

Please note Monday afterschool clubs will start a week later due to bank holidays and will run in total for 8 weeks W/C 8th May -13th July 2017 (excluding 5th June – Inset day)

All clubs will run from 3:15 to 4:45 at the school unless stated otherwise

Afterschool programme for this term, see below the list of clubs:

What does each club consist of?

Football Club – basic skill practices and understanding of games and competition, a fun way to be active

Art Club – encourages creativity and imagination, activities include painting, crafts

Swimming Club: Swimming club is available on Tuesday and Thursday’s using the swimming pool onsite. Each club is limited to a maximum of 12 students and will be chosen on a first come first serve basis

Multisport Club – an opportunity for students to attempta variety of athletics games and activities in a non-competitive environment. Supporting co-ordination and physical well-being.

Music Club – provides access to a range of musical instruments, music and dance

Trampolining/ Rebound Therapy – students get the chance to experience different types of movement via the use of the trampolines/ bouncy castle with rebound trained staff. Great fun in a safe environment.

Cooking Club – using the two cookery rooms in the school, students get a chance at developing skills and confidence cooking and baking and enjoying the results of their own work.

Stage Right (Drama Club) – Stage right has been a club running in school for many years which involves singing, dancing and drama leading up to a performance at the end of term for parents and class members.

NO payment is required until places have been confirmed. You will receive an email/letter to confirm allocated places beforehand. All payments will be due prior to the start of the courses W/C Tuesday 2nd May 2017.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to take your child until the place has been paid for. The deadline for letters to be returned is Tuesday 25th April 2017. Any slips returned after this time will not be allocated any places.

All afterschool clubs are charged at £7 per session. All coursesTues-Thursday will run this term for 10 weeks (Minimum payment up front £35 (5 weeks) you will then be required to pay the remaining amount

(£35– 5 weeks) by Tuesday6th June 2017.

Any payments for Monday afterschool clubs will run for 8 weeks (minimum payment up front 4 weeks - £28) you will then be required to pay the remaining amount (£28 – 4 weeks) by Tuesday 6th June 2017.

All payments will need to be paid by cash or cheque made payable to Charlton Park Academy in a named envelopeAlternatively you are able to access the clubs through direct payments however this will need to agree in principle by contacting CWDT Team on 02089212599. Once this has been agreed you will need to inform me via the details below

All afterschool clubs are allocated on a first come first serve basis and are limited to a maximum number of students, all return slips should be sent into school via your child’s school contact books or alternatively dropped directly to the main school office.
