Your grade will be based entirely on the algebra you learn. (80% unit assessments + 20% final assessment = 100%)

  • You should complete all classwork that is part of the daily lessons.
  • Before retesting, you must complete certain practice problems as determined by your teacher.
  • The practice listed is designed to prepare for the target checks and for the unit tests. It is highly recommended you complete all practice sets for any learning target on which you do not meet before the test.

Fundamentals of Algebra Part 1

H.1A.1Compare, order, and locate real numbers on a number line.

H.1A.2Evaluate, compute with, and determine equivalent numeric and algebraic expressions with real numbers and variables that may also include absolute value, integer exponents, square roots, pi and/or scientific notation.

H.1A.3Express square roots in equivalent radical form and their decimal approximations whenappropriate.

H.1A.4Develop, identify, and/or justify equivalent algebraic expressions, equations, and inequalities using the properties of exponents, equality and inequality, as well as the commutative, associative, inverse, identity, and distributive properties.
