Characteristics: / AKEMI Algae and Mildew Remover is a rapidly effective, alkaline cleaner based on active compounds. The product is free from solvents.
Field of Application: / Algae and Mildew Remover rapidly and thoroughly removes natural layers on façades, roofs and walls made of natural and cast stones, such as marble, granite, concrete bricks and similar.
Instructions for Use: / 1. Remove deep staining mechanically
2. Apply undiluted with a brush or a sponge.
3. Allow to work for 10 – 20 minutes, thoroughly clean with water and a brush.
Special Hints: / Do not allow contact with plants, otherwise rinse immediately with water.
Do not allow contact with metals, wood, clothing or similar in order to avoid discoloring or bleaching.
Do not refill used material into storing containers.
The product is registered at the Federal Environmental Protection Agency under the number 1257 0015

4. First Aid Measures
Contact with the eyes:
Rinse eye lid for several minutes thoroughly with plenty of water. See ophthalmologist
Contact with the skin:
Remove contaminated clothing, wash thoroughly with soap and water
Inhalation:
Provide fresh air, in case of bodily ailments; consult a doctor
Swallowing:
Rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water; consult a doctor
5. Measures to Fight Fires
The product is non-flammable; extinguish measures have to be turned to ambient fires
6. Measures in Case of Unintended Release
Remove remaining substance with absorbing material. The product must not enter the sewage system without pretreatment (biological sewage plant.)
7. Handling and Storage
Store in a cool, well ventilated place. Protect from frost, heat and solar radiation
8. Limits for exposition and Personal Safety Requirement
If occasional contact of the product with the hands cannot be avoided, protective gloves (PVC or rubber) or suitable protective creams should be used. Keep away from foodstuffs, fodder, tobacco, etc. Wash hands and use protective cream before taking breaks and finishing work. Change soiled or soaked clothing

10. Stability and Reactivity
Dangerous reactions with acids and reducing agents. Dangerous decomposition products: chlorine.

In case of long-term exposure the product has an irritating effect on eyes, skin and mucous membranes.
12. Ecological Data
Harmful effect on fish and water organisms due to increase of pH-value and release of chlorine, depending on the concentration.

13. Information on Disposal
Observe local regulations. Dilute the product with water, then reduce it with sodium sulphite, sodium disulphite or sodium thiosulphate for entering into the sewage system. Waste Code No. 59 402.
Contaminated packaging must be thoroughly emptied. It may be recycled after cleaning. Partially empty, uncleaned packaging, containing substances requiring indication following the regulations on dangerous substances or pertinent EC Directives are not covered by the German regulations on packaging, but are considered special waste.
