Andy Riggs came in second in his fourth grade spelling bee. He forgot the second “e” in “before”. He last performed in Tucker Theatre in Shards of Glass at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
After many, many, (too) many years at MTSU, Ashley Murrell will finally graduate from the Theatre Program in December. She has been in productions of Urinetown: The Musical, The Distance from Here, Mother Courage and Her Children, Underwear! A Space Musical, and Oklahoma! She is very happy to be working on this production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Graham Shelton is in his sophomore year and is proud to be returning to the main stage. Last semester, he was in Josh Ginsburg’s Shards of Glass. Graham would like to thank his family and friends for all of the encouragement. This has been S-W-E-L-L…great!
Matt Hunter (William Barfee) is an eighteen-year-old freshman Theatre Performance major who is thrilled to be in his first MTSU Mainstage production! He would like to thank his cast, crew, family, and friends for all the good times, hard laughs, love, and support. Break a leg, cast!!!
Morgan Michelle Farmer is a freshman from Columbia, Tennessee. For the past 13 years, she has been very active in community theatre in and around Maury County. Some of her favorite past roles include Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Gilmer in Godspell, and Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web.
Dani Hahn is a junior in the Theatre Program here at MTSU. She loves stage managing and is so proud of the cast and crew for all of their hard work. Thank you everyone for making this the best show ever!
Justin Bell is a junior here at MTSU. This is his first time being an Assistant Stage Manager. He is so privileged to have worked with such an amazing cast and crew! Directing credits: Godspell. Betty Williams is a Murfreesboro native and is both excited and saddened to be ending her college career with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Spelling Bee will be Betty’s fourth and final performance on the Tucker Mainstage before she graduates in December. She plans to attend graduate school in the not-so-distant future. Betty would like to thank her parents for their never ending support and thank them for loving her even if she is a truly whorific speller.
Jon D. Bumpus is a sort-of senior here at MTSU. This is his third musical program here at the university, and he is absolutely thrilled with the chance to do something different with the role of Mitch both musically and theatrically. He would like to thank his mother for her constant support and everyone else for coming! Enjoy the show!
