1987 – Humpty Dumty
Renmore broke new ground when they staged a novel adaptation of the nursery rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’ for their ninth annual Panto in Leisureland from 7th to 11th January 1987. Ticket prices were €4.45/€2.54 with a Family ticket costing €12.70 (2A +3C).
A huge cast of Principals was led by Patricia Forde playing the spooky enchantress Belladonna supported by a ferocious Baddie in John Forde (Dragfoot).
Aisling Connolly had the title role of Humpty Dumpty while Paul Muldrew (King Eggbert) met his match in Paul Curley (Dame Olive Omelette).
Kenneth Long (Prince) and Lorna Walsh (Princess) provided the romantic interest. Brendan Mee was Sergeant Eggyolk, Tommy Barrett Corporal Eggwhite
and Maura Greaney Policewoman Eggcup.
Niamh McCarthy played the Celtic Sorceress Mrs Mistletoe.
Other leads were Tommy Cullinane (Jack Frost), Pauline Hickey (Eggflip),
Brian Walsh (Fried Egg), Martin Clune (Boiled Egg), Nessa McDonagh (Eggtimer), Patricia Hogan (Broken Shell), Denise Dooley (Poached Egg)
