AIR FORCE CAREER

Master Sergeant Ferdinand Toledo graduated from Mira Mesa High School in June of 1986 and entered the Air Force on 16 February 1989. Following basic military training at Lackland AFB, TX. His first duty assignment was with the 22d Civil Engineering Squadron, March AFB, CA as a Structures Specialist where he gained extensive hands-on training in structures maintenance and repair. In 1993, he made the decision to retrain into the Personnel Career Field. He went to Keesler AFB, MS for initial training reassigned to the 722d Mission Support Squadron, March AFB, CA. Due to the vast experience and knowledge he gained over the next 3 years working in various capacities he was reassigned to Mc Chord AFB, WA where he became the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the Commanders Support Staff and the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Personnel Programs for the 4th Airlift Squadron. In March 1996, Sergeant Toledo was selected to return to California where he was reassigned to Los Angeles AFB, CA to serve as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the 61st Medical Squadron Commanders Support Staff. In September 2002, he was reassigned to San Diego, CA where he was hand-selected to be the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 075, San Diego State University (SDSU). Finally, in Oct 2006 he was reassigned to his last active duty assignment to Vandenberg AFB, CA where he became the Force Support Squadron Superintendent.

EDUCATION

He is a graduate of Airman Leadership School, the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, and the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, Professional Military Education, Course 12. MSgt Toledo also has an Applied Sciences Degree in Human Resource Management from the Community College of the Air Force, and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership, from Chapman University.
