AHYMSIN Faculty Profile “Yoga for Joyful Living”

1.  Mr. Rabindra Sahu

Rabindra was blessed with parents and Gurus who guided him with the beautiful spirit of Yoga since early childhood. With time, his interest for Yoga grew into an inner calling - for which after 7 years of Corporate work experience, he decidedto delveinto yoga full time.
He has earned his RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher)200, RYT 500 and Sadhana Intensive certification from the International Sivananda Yoga & Vedanta Center and is currently studying under the Himalayan Yoga Tradition for his second certification of RYT 500. He has been traveling to many countries to conduct workshops apart from teaching in Delhi for the last 5 years.

He is an initiate in the Himalayan Tradition and recently shifted to Swami Rama

Sadhaka Grama to serve the mission of Swami Veda, where he manages the Himalayan Yoga Tradition - Teacher Training Program.

Rabindra remains indebted to Swami Veda for His blessings and guidance. He is grateful for the insight the journey of yoga has brought into his life and continues to grow as a student and teacher.

2.  Mr. Ram Prakash

Ram Prakash had a deep heartfelt longing to learn yoga and meditation; this brought him to Rishikesh from Nepal, in the year 2005. Realising, Sanskrit is the language of all related text so he started learning Sanskrit Vyakaran at Dayanand Ashram, later he joined Dhyana Gurukulam at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG), Rishikesh, under the guidance of Swami Veda Bharati and did intensive study in Yoga & Meditation for five years. Swamiji initiated him in the year 2007.

He is an accomplished yoga and meditation teacher, certified by Association of Himalayan Yoga Societies International (AHYMSIN) in Himalyan Yoga Tradition-Teacher’s Training Program and earned his RYT 200.

Currently, he is a resident teacher at SRSG engaged in guest teaching programs as well as conducting outreach programs. He is also a very good singer and kirtan enthusiast.

3.  Dr. Manju Talekar

Dr. Manju Talekar is a medical graduate from Lady Hardinge Medical College and a trained pathologist. She has been teaching Pathology at various medical schools in India and abroad. Dr. Manju Talekar retired as Professor of Pathology and Deputy Medical Superintendent from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Swami Rama Himalyan University, Dehradun. She grew up in a spiritual family, but had many questions that remained un-answered till she came across Swami Rama’s teaching while working at HIMS.

In the year 2000 she got initiated by Swami Veda. She has also undergone Himalyan Yoga Tradition-Teacher’s Training Program. Presently, she volunteers as the AHYMSIN global Program coordinator at SRSG.
