Abstract

All Global Engineering Education submission must include an Abstract. Begin with the word Abstract immediately following the title block with one blank line in between. Use centered, 12 point, Times New Roman Bold text for this heading. Use 10 pt. Times New Roman font for the text of the abstract. There should be a single blank line between the heading and this text. The abstract should be fully justified and consist of a single paragraph not exceeding 200 words. A Microsoft power point presentation must be submitted after acceptance of the industry solutions abstract to be included for the IEOM proceedings.

Keywords

Three to five keywords related to the main topic must be specified for all submissions. For example, Industrial engineering, operations research, stochastic processes

All papers must follow the following layout:

  • 8 1/2" X 11" paper
  • Top and bottom margins: 1.00"
  • Left and right margins: 1.00"
  • The first page header containing IEOM 2015 proceeding
  • Single-spacing in a single column
  • Full text justification
  • No footers or page numbers

The following Information should be placed at the top of the first page:

  • Paper title: 16 point Times New Roman bold, centered
  • Author listing: 12 pt. Times New Roman, centered Author namesbold; department or college; university or company; city, state, zip, country and email. Authors with the same affiliation must be grouped together on the same line with affiliation information following in a single block. An example is shown above.

Acknowledgements

Acknowledgement of funding support and/or any other kind of assistance should be contained in an "Acknowledgements" section (this section should have no section number), located immediately before the "References" section.

Biography

Include author bio(s) of 150 words or less.

Ahad Ali is an Assistant Professor, and Director of Master of Science in Industrial Engineering in the A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, USA. He earned B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, Masters in Systems and Engineering Management from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has published journal and conference papers. Dr Ali has done research projects with Chrysler, Ford, DTE Energy, Delphi Automotive System, GE Medical Systems, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, International Truck and Engine Corporation (ITEC), National/Panasonic Electronics, and Rockwell Automation. His research interests include manufacturing, simulation, optimization, reliability, scheduling, manufacturing, and lean. He is member of IIE, INFORMS, SME and IEEE.

Donald M. Reimer is currently a fulltime senior lecturer and Director of The Lear Entrepreneurial Program in College of Engineering at Lawrence Tech. Mr. Reimer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from LawrenceTechnologicalUniversity and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Detroit/Mercy. He is a Certified Management Consultant with over 35 years of experience in working with closely-held businesses. He has taught courses in entrepreneurship, management and corporate entrepreneurship and innovation for engineers. Mr. Reimer served as member of the Minority Economic Development Committee of New Detroit. Mr. Reimer serves as a KEEN Fellow for The Kern Family Foundation and is a member of United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
