Welcome to First Grade!
June 2016
Dear Family,
We are looking forward to working with your child in the first grade and enjoying a happy and successful year with them.
To help you plan for September, we are sending you the following list of needed supplies now. These are the only supplies that your child will need. Please do not send in additional supplies that we did not request. Please write your child’s name on all notebooks, folders, school bag and smock. The rest of the supplies will be shared.
The following supplies should be brought into class on the first day of school.
· six marble composition notebooks(at least 100 pages, not spiral)
· four plastic double pocket folders
· Five boxes of yellow #2 pencils (at least 12 per box)
· Five packages of 3 or more solid glue sticks
· Three erasers (rectangular office-style preferred)
· Four boxes(16-24 count) of crayons, classic colors(recommended: Crayola brand)
· One box of Crayola colored pencils or thin markers
· One pack of 3 x 5 index cards
· One pair of metal safety scissors (recommended: Fiskars brand)
· Three containers of baby wipes
· Three boxes of tissues
· One box of Ziploc bags-gallon size
· School bag (without wheels)
· Large, old tee shirt for Art
YOU WILL NEED AN ADDITONAL SET OF
PENCILS, CRAYONS, GLUE STICKS AND SCISSORS
TO KEEP AT HOME FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES WILL REMAIN IN SCHOOL.
