How to reach Brno
Brno can be reached by direct trains from Prague and Vienna, or by air to Vienna and then by coach or train. Another possibility is to go by air to Prague (and then travel about 200km by coach or train) or to Brno.

Brno is located in the southwest part of the Czech Republic, on the backbone motorway D-1 Prague-Brno-Bratislava, and the railway line Prague-Brno-Vienna/Bratislava.

From railway station (Brno Main Station – Brno hlavní nádraží)
To reach the Hotel Avanti use the tram no. 1 in direction „Řečkovice“ and leave on the stop „Hrnčířská“. Go along Rybníček street and then turn left at the corner of the streets Rybníček and Střední. (See the map)
From bus station
There are two bus stations in Brno: „Grand hotel“ and „Zvonařka“. The first one is located near the railway station while the second one can be found about 500 meters from railway station.
At „Zvonařka“ bus station get on the tram no. 12 and on the „Main Station“ change for the tram no.1 in direction „Řečkovice“. Leave on the stop „Hrnčířská“. Go along Rybníček street and turn left at the corner of the streets Rybníček and Střední. (See the map)
How to reach the Hotel Continental

From railway station (Brno Main Station)
To reach the Hotel Continental, Kounicova 6, use the tram no. 12 in direction „Červinkova“ or the tram no.13 in direction „Technical Museum“ and on the stop „Česká“ change for trolley no. 32, 34, 36. Get off at the stop „Smetanova“. (See the map)

Go along the street Střední, turn right at the corner, go along the street Rybníček, cross the Štefánikova Street and go along the street Hrnčířská until you get to the cross of streets Botanická and Hrnčířská. The Faculty of Informatics is situated here. (see the map)
From Hotel Continental
Use the trolley no. 32 and get off at the stop „Botanická“. (see the map)
From railway station
The Brno railway station is called „Brno Main Station“ („Brno Hlavní nádraží“). To reach the Faculty of Informatics, Botanicka 68a, use the tram no. 1 in direction „Řečkovice“ and leave on the fifth stop „Hrnčířská“. Go along the Hrnčířská street. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the cross of the streets Hrnčířská and Botanická to the Faculty building.

It takes about 5 minutes to get to the Faculty of Informatics.
