Senate Meeting

10/12/11

Projects:

1.  University Controversy

a)  I am currently drafting an email to be sent to Lt. Michael Morris regarding his recent editorial in The Chronicle. This editorial is generating some fairly negative publicity for our university. I would like to speak to everyone after the meeting if possible to figure out what you all think we should do about this. Student Government needs to take a stance on this. A threat to our university's national reputation should not be taken lightly.

2.  Blackboard Module: “Community”

a)  I have been in contact with Judy Swanson, Director of Academic Technology. She is contacting Blackboard to arrange the Webinar. She said she will try to arrange for Wednesday, October 26th during the meeting, but it will have to be confirmed later.

3.  Graduation Survey

a)  I have sent Christine my revisions to the introduction for the Wufoo survey. Hopefully it will be sent out soon.

b)  I have been asking as many people as possible about the graduation issue. I have STILL been encountering an overwhelming amount of support for splitting the ceremony into two.
