Chair Person Responsibility for Breakout Sessions
Recruit Chair People for each of 7 spheres:
What is the purpose for ORT Kick Off?
- Prepare to mobilize strategic prayer across Washington in support of the emerging city networks who are focusing on transforming their communities during the National Day of Prayer through the Global Day of Prayer.
- National Day of Prayer falls on May 7 and the Global Day of Prayer Falls on May 31. The goal for 2009 is to mobilize 24 churches in our city/county/state to cover their county (and or city) with 24 days of 24 hour strategic prayer. This will yield 4x more prayer in 2007 as compared to 2006. It will be the largest and longest 24 hour sustained prayer in Washington state history.
What is the purpose of the breakout sessions?
- In order for our efforts to be fruitful we need specific targeted prayer. These breakout sessions with people and key leaders giving input from each field will help us discover those specific targets that will make our efforts effective.
- From each of these meetings there will eventually proceed an apostolic counsel who will form a Transformation Task Force (TTF) for the state. These key leaders will provide input that will help us develop strategic plans that initiate and or support transformation in their sphere and in this state.
- I hope to come away from this meeting with at least one thing that the council wants us to measure in each sphere to see how effective our prayer is being in supporting transformation. For example, is there a crime rate we should target and monitor?
- It is our hope that each county and city will catch the vision and would form their own TTF.
When will the breakout session occur and what is the format of the meeting?
- Saturday schedule
- 9am start
- Worship & workshops (prayer walking, House of Prayer, NDP & GDOP) till 10:15am
- 10:30 to 11:30 CONECT & Breakout Session Overview
- 11:30 to 12:30 breakout sessions
- Lunch
- 2pm – Chair people report what they learned from their session to the audience.
- 3pm Apostolic strategy for your city, county, state or nation
- 4pm Intercession, prayer, praise, worship and a commissioning service for CONECTers and Coordinators from counties and cities.
- Format
- Who
- Chair person hosts the meeting and facilitates gleaning input from the audience.
- A recorded takes notes for the chair person and turns those notes in to the administrator (Doris).
- Saints/participants/council/audience – provides input to questions
- Questions
- Primary question – What one thing should we focus our prayer upon (that we can measure) that supports transformation in your sphere (church, business, government, media, education, healthcare and the family).
- Secondary question – What can the Church do that would support (leaders & people) transformation in the 6 other spheres? How can the church serve you?
- What would you need to discover:
- What transformation would look like in your sphere?
- What opposes transformation?
- Who do you have that are allies with you?
Chairpersons responsibility:
- Make sure no one monopolizes the conversation. Everyone that has input has an opportunity to give input.
- Make sure the recorder is taking notes and turns those notes in to our administrator.
- Makes sure the audience returns the room/chairs to its original configuration.
Recorders responsibility:
- Take thorough readable notes.
- Turn in the notes to the administrator.
