Drivers Education Announcement

Great News! Drivers Ed is back!! Flyers are in the main office starting today. Registration begins Wednesday March 7 through April 17 (or until classes are full). Remember, classes are on a first come, first serve basis. Classes begin on April 25th – May 16 after school at LHS main.

FarmerFest Announcement

Starting today, any students who have an office referral that results in being send to PASS, BASE, OSS, or DAEP will not be allowed to participate in Farmer Fest on May 18. Additionally, if you owe any fines or are failing more than one class, you will not get to go. We expect students to be on their best behavior and take care of their fines and fees as we move into the final quarter of the year and to stay focused on their academics. You can visit with your assistant principal if you have any questions.

LHS Mr. Farmer Announcement

We are starting a boy’s pageant for the senior boys, titled Mr. Farmer. The event will take place in the auditorium on Wednesday, April 4th, starting at 7PM.

Pre-sale tickets are $5 and we're currently selling them now. Tickets will be $7 at the door, the day of the show. The show will consist of an opening dance, swim suit portion, formal wear and talent.

AVID Announcement

Attention all current 9th graders who are interested in going to college!

Are you individually determined to reach your post secondary goals? Do those goals include college of any kind? Do you think you might need help applying for college and scholarships? Would you like some in class time to prep for the PSAT and SAT? If you answered yes to any of those questions, maybe AVID is for you! Currently, we are accepting applications for 10th grade AVID—there are posters spread out around the academic hallways – check the wall across from Mr. Cooper’s room, or the Math hallway to name a few. In order to qualify for AVID, you have to be willing to take at least one PreAP class and you must be willing to go on several field trips to different universities next year during the school day.

Deadline to apply is April 6th—scan the QR code on the posters and complete the online application by midnight, April 6th. If you have any questions, come by room 203 or 204 for more information. AVID isn’t for everyone—AVID is only for determined students who are certain that college is in their future and also certain they might need some help along the way.

IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A FARMER. AND REMEMBER, THE BEST PREPARATION FOR TOMORROW IS TO DO YOUR BEST TODAY!
