City of Owosso Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation - Phase I

Sealed Bids for City of Owosso Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation - Phase I will be received at the office of the City of Owosso until 2:00 pm local time, on February 6, 2008, by the office of the Utilities Director located at 301 West Main Street, Owosso, MI 48867. The approximate quantities of major items of work involved are as follows:

Rehabilitation of Sanitary Manholes (approximately 495 manholes).

Associated restoration of vegetation and pavement where applicable.

Methods of manhole rehabilitation include: Remove and Replace Cover, Remove and Reset Frame, Remove and Replace Frame, Replace Adjusting Rings, Apply Interior Structure Lining, Seal Leaks, External Manhole Wrap, and Exploratory Excavation.

The Contract Documents for this project are on file and may be examined on and after 12:00 pm, January 7, 2008, at the following locations: the office of the ENGINEER, Orchard, Hiltz, & McCliment, Inc., 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150; area offices of McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge Reports, 20475 Woodingham, Detroit, MI 48221; Reed Construction Data at www.reedepr.com; the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM), 43636 Woodward, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302-3204; Construction News Service of Michigan at www.michiganconstruction.net; and City of Owosso, 301 West Main Street, Owosso, MI 48867.

Copies thereof may be obtained on or after 12:00 pm, local time, January 7, 2008, at the office of the ENGINEER, Orchard, Hiltz & McCliment, Inc., 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150. A fee of fifty-five dollars ($55.00) non-refundable will be charged for each set of Contract Documents. An additional fee of ten dollars ($10.00) non-refundable will be charged for each set of Contract Documents which are mailed.

Bid Security in the form of a Certified or Cashier's Check or Bid Bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid.

The OWNER reserves the right to accept any Bid, reject any Bid, or waive irregularities in Bids.

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (90) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids.

Choose one of the following.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project at 2:00 p.m. on January 16, 2008. Prospective bidders who fail to attend and register at the conference will be disqualified from bidding on the project.
