Painting Syllabus, 1st quarter2014-15
Mrs. Aune
Painting is a full block, 7-8th
You must have your own regular #2 pencils for class. Erasers are optional. I am not a big eraser fan so if you don’t have one don’t fret about it. An ice cream bucket WITH lid is required for acrylic and tempera painting. Start finding one now; no bucket= no acrylic painting.
Role is taken every day. If you miss a day excused or unexcused you will have to make up the missed studio time before school, noon or after school. Studio time is art work that needs to be done in the art room due to the tools and materials needed. Don’t put off studio work.
There are due dates on all projects. Late work not accepted. No exceptions unless arrangements made with instructor. Due dates are always posted.
You will be expected to work independently, however, never hesitate to ask for feedback or help. And don’t forget those friendly classmates; they’re great soundboards, critiquers and good Samaritans ready to help.
Classroom work time is extremely important. The materials are available. Your instructor is available. The atmosphere is perfect for inspiration. Use your time wisely. How you use your time always shows up in your work.
