Qualifications Recognition is the Irish centre that provides an information service that helps individuals compare their foreign qualifications with Irish qualifications on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (
ITB regards this information as extremely important to verify the level of your award and enable the
Institute to speedily make a determination on your eligibility for the course you have applied.
The qualification recognition service is free of charge, however assessment of a qualification may take
a few weeks so it is advisable to apply at least3 months before the start of the course.Qualification

  1. Students on courses marked below with an asterisk must obtain satisfactory Garda Clearance from the Central Garda Vetting Unit prior to going on placement. Please note that this procedure takes several months and should be initiated immediately by completing form 4FAD22 and returning it to the Admission’s Office in ITB.Complete registration will be contingent on proof of satisfactory Garda vetting.
  1. If you have not yet obtained your examination results you should forward to the Admissions Office of the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown a detailed transcript as soon as the results become available. Failure to forward such a transcript will prevent your application being processed.
