The position is for a Santander Internship spanning 10 weeks, full time, and the intern will receive a wage of £3000 for the 10 weeks. Thereafter there is the potential for the role to become a permanent full time position for the right candidate with the salary to be reviewed at the time of the full job offer.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

Previous work experience essential.

GCSE Maths & English grade 'A or B’ essential: A ‘Level Mathematics is an advantage.

Excellent numerical & written skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work part of a team and unsupervised

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel essential

General Responsibilities

Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant FCA rules at all times.

Comply with the relevant compliance, treating customers fairly, financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud and corruption) procedures of the firm at all times.

Take responsibility for recording own time on a daily basis

Comply and operate the ‘buddy’ system effectively when absent from the office

Commitment to work to the Chartered Insurance Institute exams FA7 and R01

Follow appropriate ethical standards within the firm at all times.

Specific Responsibilities

Answering the reception inbound phone calls

Making of drinks for client meetings

Filing, scanning, distribution of post out and in

Ensure the data management systems are up to date

Completion of post-sale administration tasks with minor supervision whether product application forms/policy documents or commission/billing cycle

Ensure trades are placed with third parties in accordance with the firm’s best execution and order allocation policy and that accurate and timely records are maintained

Ensure clients or their agents are provided with accurate, timely information and reports about their investments, including valuations, contract notes, periodic statements etc. and that full records are maintained

Preparation of client engagement letters and documents

Finametrica analysis input

Gather information for valuation reviews when required

Liaising with clients' intermediaries as appropriate

A chargeable time target to be achieved

Provide assistance to Analyst and Administration Manager

Ensure all dealings with customers are carried out in a professional and courteous manner.

Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained as per company procedures.

Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm.
