Addition to VBS 2016 Kids Missions Rotation model - Jill Arrington 1/18/2016

If you have any leaders who are first time Mission Rotation Leaders, be sure to provide a brief overview of the Mission rotation Leader Guide with DVD-ROM.

  1. Say: This guide is your all in one resource for leading the Mission Rotation in VBS 2016. Kids in grades 1-6 will learn about missions taking place in North American and across the ocean. They will also discover ways they can be involved in missions.
  2. Have the conferees grab their leader guide or look on with a neighbor. Proceed to guide them through the following highlights:
  3. Additional resources included in the guide are a DVD-ROM (front) and an insert (back).
  4. The DVD is used to show daily missionary segments. Also, DVD Story summaries are on page 21, for the leader has no way to show these segments or for those who wish to tell the stories rather than show the video every day.
  5. The DVD-ROMcontains resources that support the daily teaching. The leader may print the resources or the items may be copied from the insert in the back of the guide.
  6. Inside Cover page: Sharing the Gospel with Kids.Each leader should be familiar with this content and praying for the salvation of the children who will be attending VBS.
  7. Page 1: Six Step VBS – For successful preparation, follow these six steps as you plan and get ready for the children who will rotate through the missions rotation.
  8. Page 3 contains an overview of the daily Bible content, VBS Scripture, Motto, Christ Connection and (LOBL) Level of Biblical Learning for easy access.
  9. Rotation site Decorating Tips are next, on page 4.
  10. Page 5 contains a list of supplies for each lesson. This is helpful checklist. You can highlight what you need according to the activities you choose and then check them off after you have acquired them.
  11. On pages 6 - 20, you will find the details of each day’s lesson. As you review these pages, you will decide exactly what you want to do, depending upon your allotted time and the children coming to your rotation. You may then gather the supplies you will need.
