Dear Family,
It’s time again for our summer reading program. Your student will receive a reward in August for reading 400 pages or more over the summer. Our school library will be closed but you may use the Gulf Shores Public Library to check out books for this program. Your child may read any book they choose. These do not have to be Accelerated Reader Books.
Books-A-Million will offer our students a discount when purchasing books for the summer reading program. You must tell the cashier at Books-A-Million that you are participating in the Gulf Shores Elementary School Summer Reading Program to get the discount.
Please fill out the attached form and return by Friday, August 21, 2015 to the library. Hopefully this will encourage your child to read over the summer and be more prepared to enter third grade. Copies of this form will be on the GSES web site under Summer Reading Forms. Your child will enter 3rd grade with a greater love of reading and greater confidence in his/herself.

· The number of pages in each book. You may only count the pages if you read the entire book. 400 Pages are required for the reward.
